British Army Officer's campaign bath. Made from enamelled tin which has, at some point in the past, been painted a soft green. Unusually there is a lid with the bath, the original leather strap is missing. Wonderful decorative piece with good colour and patina.
History ~
Late 1800s, England. These baths were often used on campaigns in Africa.
Condition ~
The lid is not flat, lots of paint loss, scratches and marks.
